Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB), invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and professionally competent individuals, between the ages of 45-50 years, for the position of PRINCIPAL. The position is in an International School and the Principal will report to the Board of Governors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess:
· at least a Master’s degree from a recognized university. Higher qualifications in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration or a related field will be preferred.
· sound knowledge of academic leadership, curriculum planning, assessment and reporting systems in an English medium institution.
· familiarity with international curricula, preferably Cambridge, together with knowledge of Pakistani curriculum streams.
· excellent written and spoken English, strong administrative and interpersonal skills, and sound working knowledge of educational technology and school management systems.
· the ability to provide strategic, instructional and operational leadership in a multicultural and internationally oriented educational environment.
· sound understanding of contemporary educational practices, child protection, inclusive teaching approaches, student wellbeing, and data-informed decision-making.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have:
· at least seven (07) years’ service in senior school leadership roles, including substantial responsibility as Principal, Vice Principal or Head of School in a reputed English medium institution, preferably abroad.
· a strong record of academic and instructional leadership, including oversight of curriculum implementation, lesson delivery, assessment practices, reporting systems, student achievement, intervention programmes and whole-school improvement initiatives.
· demonstrated ability to lead staff and manage human resource functions, including recruitment, induction, mentoring, appraisal, professional development and performance management of teaching and administrative staff.
· established ability to maintain effective parent, community and stakeholder relations, including communication with parents, resolution of concerns in a professional manner, and representation of the school before embassies, external organizations and the wider community.
· solid administrative exposure covering the management of daily school operations, timetabling, facilities, health and safety, admissions, examinations, records management, and liaison with local authorities and accreditation bodies.
· working knowledge of financial oversight and resource management, including direction and leadership in budget planning, financial forecasting, cost control, efficient allocation of resources and institutional planning.

· sound analytical, financial and operational acumen, with the ability to use data, systems and resources effectively to support planning and school improvement; and
· commitment to continuous professional development and current best practices in international education.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo interview, leadership presentation and medical check-up.
