B2B Activities & Export Oriented Investment Promotion
Pakistan offers a wealth of investment opportunities across various sectors, bolstered by its strategic location and abundant natural resources. The Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Beijing, along with the Consulates General in China, collaborates closely with the Board of Investment (BOI), Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and relevant government authorities to attract and sustain productive investments.
Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s successful visit to China in June 2024, where he attended the Pakistan-China Business Conference in Shenzhen, Business-to-Business (B2B) collaboration has emerged as a key focus for Embassy of Pakistan and all consulates.
This renewed emphasis on B2B engagement aims to foster stronger trade connections, encourage sector-specific collaborations, and promote business-oriented investment opportunities between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises, further deepening economic ties under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Since then, the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, along with the Consulates in Guangzhou Shenzhen, Chengdu and Shanghai, has organized six Business-to-Business (B2B) events. These events have facilitated nearly 800 business meetings and attracted participation from over 500 Chinese companies, marking a significant milestone in strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China.
Furthermore, a data-driven study conducted by the Commercial Section at the Embassy in Beijing identified 21 priority sectors to promote Chinese investment in Pakistan, aiming to enhance Pakistan’s production capacity and exports.
These sectors are:
i. Mining and Refining
ii. Solar Cells and Modules
iii. Naphtha Cracker Facilities and Oil Refining
iv. Iron and Steel Complex
v. Cell Phone Manufacturing
vi. Large-Scale Synthetic Yarn and Fabric
vii. Textile and Apparel
viii. Leather and articles
ix. Pharmaceuticals
x. Chemicals
xi. Medical Equipments
xii. Footwear
xiii. Toys
xiv. Furniture
xv. Food Processing
xvi. Agriculture Food Parks
xvii. Electric Vehicles
xviii. Electronics, Laptops, and Home Appliances
xix. Urea and Fertilizer
xx. Semiconductor Manufacturing
xxi. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Among these key sectors,the Embassy of Pakistan in China its Consulates, in collaboration with the Pakistan Board of Investment (BOI), oganised 6 events from October 2024 to January 2025. More than 500 Chinese companies participated in the events and over 800 B2B meetings were held which resulted in 45 MOUs. The MOUs and meetings participants are being followed up closely. For the year 2025, Embassy and the Consultaes are planning to organize eight additional B2B matchmaking events. These events will be strategically designed to promote joint ventures (JVs) and strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in key sectors such as iron, steel, and copper.
Business proposals in these critical sectors are welcome. Letters of Interest can be submitted via mail or email to the Commercial Section at the Pakistan Embassy or the nearest Pakistan Commercial Consulate.Counselors, Trade Development Officers (China), and Investment Officers (China) are ready to provide facilitation and support for your business initiatives. the list of events with tentative dates are as follows:
