Ø Photocopies of all mandatory documents are required.
Ø Applicants should apply for a new passport when its validity approaches less than six months. In case all passport pages are utilized or for another valid reason, a written application can be submitted citing the rationale for a new passport before its expiry.
Ø For Government Servants, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from concerned department (in original) addressed to the Embassy of Pakistan Beijing is mandatory.
Ø Prior approval of Directorate General of Immigration & Passports for issuance of Diplomatic, Official and Gratis Passports is necessary.
Ø Prior appointment is mandatory when applying for diplomatic/official passports.
Ø Where passport is lost or stolen, a new passport will only be issued after verification of previous passport (from issuing authority in case of manual passport) and provision of ‘loss report’ from Chinese police/immigration bureau. Please bring photocopy of lost passport and one photograph for new passport processing.
Ø Where applicants are below 18 years of age, they should be accompanied by both parents or legal guardian, who should present their own original and valid CNICs/passports. The parents/legal guardian will be required to sign a Form
(to be provided by MRP office) at the time of application submission.
In case one of the parents is unable to attend, the other should bring authority letter bearing no objection for issuance of passport. Original CNIC/passport of the absent parent should also be presented at the time of application.
Ø Applicant’s thumbs and index fingers of both hands should be free from any coloring i.e. ink or henna (i.e. mehndi) for obtaining clear finger prints.
Ø Children’s names are not allowed to be included in parent’s passport. However, as a special exception, name of new born baby can be included in either of the parent’s passport for travel to Pakistan. It requires: application from parents; four photographs of the new-born; original passports/valid CNICs of parents; birth certificate; copies of parents’ passports; current visa/resident permits of parents, and Fee: RMB60.
Ø In case of dual nationals, passport/copy of passport of the other country is also required.
Ø Photo on the NICOP/CNIC should match current facial features. Please renew the NICOP/CNIC with latest photograph in case of mismatch.
Ø Supporting documents to verify National status like Parents CNIC, previous passport(s), Family Registration Certificate (FRC), Form-B, Birth Certificate, NOC from Political Agent, father’s domicile for tribal areas or other relevant documents should be carried along.
Ø Passport fee is non-refundable. Please complete your papers before fee submission.
Ø The Embassy will not be responsible for loss/ damage of passport during mail delivery authorized by the applicant.
Ø Local rules regarding visa/resident permit in China vary from region to region. You might be required to report to local authorities about your new (change of) passport within a stipulated time. Please comply by these rules to avoid fine.
