Internship at the Pakistan Embassy

We encourage you to kindly read the information below carefully.The Embassy offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Chinese colleges and universities, as well as for recent graduates exploring career options. This program provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a diplomatic environment while contributing to the strengthening of China-Pakistan relations.

Program Overview

Year-Round Recruitment  

The internship program operates on a rolling basis, allowing candidates to join at any time of the year, including during summer vacations. Most interns continue their university studies while participating in the program.We encourage you to apply for and if selected do this internship for a minimum period of three months. Selected candidates may apply by filling out the applications form and attach necessary documents including a cover note. Please make sure the application form is filled out completely. Kindly note that the Embassy is not in a position to entertain incomplete application forms.

Purpose: The internship program is designed in a way that is mutually beneficial for the Embassy and the prospective interns. The nature of work is varied but it required clear thinking, flexible and good communication skills. This internship may offer you opportunity to explore carrier pathway in diplomacy, public policy, trade and investment related policy or research work as well. 

Areas for Internship

 We are particularly interested in candidates with academic backgrounds in the following fields:  

· International Relations  

· International Economics & Trade  

· Business Management  

· Technical & Vocational Education 

· Information Technology (IT)  

· Artificial Intelligence

· Science & Technology  

· Social Work & Community Development  

Internship Responsibilities

Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:  

· Conducting research and analysis on assigned topics.  

· Attending and summarizing meetings and events.  

· Monitoring and analyzing media and current affairs.  

· Assisting in drafting of routine correspondence.   

Program Details

Duration

Internships are flexible, with a minimum period of 03 months and weekly commitment of up to 20 hours.

Eligibility

· Undergraduate and graduate students from Chinese colleges and universities.  

· Recent graduates

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

· Ability to work independently.  

Application Requirements

· Detailed resume and a cover note (upto 280 words) describing your motivation to work as interne, why should you be considered for internship and what value addition you plan to make if recruited.  

· Latest academic transcript.  

· Two Letters of recommendation (academic or professional)  

· Proof of English language proficiency (spoken and written).  

· Recent photograph.  

Note: Students are encouraged to seek academic credit from their universities for their participation in this internship program.
