The Consulate General of Pakistan in Hong Kong commenced its operations in 1997, transitioning from its former role as a trade commission.Located on the 28th floor o f the Shui O n Centre in the Wan Chai District, the Consulate plays a pivotal role in managing trade and investment matters within its jurisdiction, which includes Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan (for visa purposes only and for matters pertaining to Pakistanis in Taiwan). This strategic position allows the Consulate to foster economic ties and facilitate business/investment opportunities.In addition to its trade functions, the Consulate addresses various consular issues and provides essential services to the Pakistani community. The services provided encompass passport renewals, visa applications (both manual and online), birth registrations, and various legal documentation, catering to the diverse needs of approximately 43,000 Pakistanis living in Hong Kong. This strong community serves as a vital link between Pakistan and the region,highlighting the importance of the Consulate's work.The Consulate also promotes cultural, educational and tourism related activities while engaging the community particularly through media presence including digital, utilizing platforms such as its website, Facebook, YouTube,Twitter, and Instagram.
