The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, in coordination with the Board of Investment (BOI), Pakistan has established a network of Honorary Investment Counsellors (HICs) in key regions across China. These HICs are distinguished professionals from diverse sectors who volunteer their expertise, networks, and resources to promote Pakistan-China economic cooperation.
The primary role of the HICs is to advance, facilitate and help expand Pakistan’s trade and investment ties with China inter alia by:
• Promoting the country’s investment policies, sectoral opportunities, and Special Economic Zones (SEZs);
• Assisting Pakistani enterprises in navigating the Chinese market;
• Supporting Chinese enterprises interested in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.
As of 2026, the following HICs are officially appointed. The Embassy is thankful to the HICs for their contribution and support in promoting Pakistan-China partnership in economic, investment and trade spheres.
