First Non-Government Flight Carrying Donations from China flies out of Chengdu towards Islamabad

Recently, Pakistan International Airlines PK 871, flew out from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, carrying donations generously handed over by various businesses and entities based in South West China.

Pakistan International PK 871 was the first non-governmental aid flight leaving China, carrying donations, intended to help support and assist Pakistan’s flood relief efforts. The items being carried comprised of water purifiers, tents, blankets etcand the total tonnage was around four tonnes. The flight’s final destination was Islamabad International. 

Additionally, a further three tonnes of relief supplies were transported from Chengdu to the port of Guangzhou. The relief items will reach the port city of Karachi towards the end of November.
