Pakistan Embassy Holds Charity Bazaar, proceeds Donated to Longzhen Elderly Care

Ambassador Masood Khalid along with other members of Pakistan Embassy, Beijing visited Longzhen Elderly Care Centre today to present RMB 100,000 in cheque and goods in kind to the organization. The Embassy had raised the money for this charitable cause in the Charity Bazar it organized on its premises on 28 May 2016, where Madam Qian Wei, spouse of Chinese Foreign Minister was the Chief Guest.
 
The Ambassador was received by Ms. Zhang Yu, Chief Executive of Longzhen Elderly Care Centre. The Centre had organized a ceremony on this occasion, wherein the working staff and elderly people from the Centre also joined. In her remarks, Ms. Zhang highly appreciated the kind gesture of Pakistan Embassy in contributing towards the welfare of the elderly people of Beijing. Also speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Masood Khalid reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing friendship with China, and marked this donation as a modest contribution towards enhancing the welfare of the senior citizens and elderly people. The elderly people at the Centre also interacted with Ambassador and his team, and expressed their gratitude to the Embassy. They also displayed their art work and pastime activities; one of them, an 87 year old, was practicing traditional Chinese tai chi.
